How FAUX (FOX) news deliberately lies to readers:

"Texas Rep. Ron Paul, who ignited controversy at the debate with remarks that U.S. policy had invited the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, came in second with 25 percent."

If you watched the debate, you know this is NOT what Ron Paul said at all; he spoke of "blow back." This is a calculated distortion of what Ron Paul said because FAUX was trying to minimize Ron Paul's numbers after the debate. Is this fair?

The scathing column cited above is beyond words. The author claims: "The fact is, though Ron Paul himself is no threat to anyone or anything, his campaign is on a track that is very dangerous for America and the conservative movement in particular. Although he is highly unlikely to win anything, his campaign is increasingly likely to cause real trouble for the legitimate Republican nomination process....

"At first, I assumed, and had even written, that Ron Paul's financial support was coming from the Libertarian wing of the Republican Party. Then I was corrected by former Ron Paul aide and founder of the Libertarian Republican Caucus, Eric Dondero, who also founded MainstreamLibertarian.com and hosts blogtalk radio show Libertarian Politics Live. In an interview with Dondero, he emphatically complained; “Please refrain in the future from using the label "Libertarian Republican" in describing Ron Paul. Call him what he is: Some sort of populist leftwinger.” Dondero continued, “Since 9/11 Paul has become a complete nutcase conspiratorialist quasi-Anti-Semitic left-wing American-hating nutball.”

And, this is how its done: scorched earth politics. Sling around completely unfounded smear labels like "quasi-Anti-Seminitc." It is to be expected. It will get much, much worse.

In the end, Americans going to the voting booth shall be the ones to decide who they want for president, not what some party hack tells them. Your vote is your vote and you should not be intimidated or led by anyone else. If you choose Clinton, Giuliani, Obama, Paul or any of the others, then you accept the responsibility of your vote.
